How do the Zwitscherbox and Birdybox sounds differ?
The blackbird’s chirping can be heard on the Zwitscherbox for 2 minutes. This makes the Zwitscherbox perfect for the bathroom or guest toilet, as it enables a moment of retreat. On the other hand, the bird concert of the blackbird sounds as an impulse for 20 seconds on the Birdybox. This makes the Birdybox particularly suitable for the kitchen at home, the hallway or the coffee kitchen in the office.
Where were the sounds recorded?
The location of the recording is very important for high quality natural sounds. The birdsong of the Zwitscherbox was recorded in a clearing in the Black Forest. The Lakesidebox continues to develop the theme of natural sound: it is an atmospheric soundscape composed of carefully selected natural sounds, into which you can immerse yourself again and again, tone for tone.
What about environmental protection and sustainability?
These topics are extremely important to us. The wood for the design fronts comes from sustainable forestry. The Relaxound boxes usually have a very long lifespan of 25 years and more, and the raw materials rarely need to be recycled.
Where are the Relaxound products made?
Relaxound attaches great importance to fair working conditions and long-term cooperation. At their production site in India, they work with a successful family business that is considered a model company in the region. Their wooden design fronts are handcrafted in a Thuringian craft business.

Yes. The Zwitscherbox is ready to go immediately after unpacking. The batteries in the Zwitscherbox last up to 12 months or longer on average.
How long do the rechargeable batteries last?
The rechargeable batteries last up to 2 months, depending on personal use. After a charging time of 90 minutes, the batteries in the soundboxes are ready for use again.
Why does my soundbox sometimes start by itself?
The photocell in the motion sensor is sentitive to changes in light, so your box may be activated, for example, when the sun shines through the window in the morning. This “quirk” makes our boxes even more lovable for many.
How far does the motion sensor reach?
The range of the motion sensor is up to 130 centimeters, although it can vary slightly for each device. Since we use a light-sensitive photocell as a motion detector, the box does not react to movements in the dark.
How does the motion sensor work?
A light-sensitive photocell is used as a motion sensor, because photocells are extremely economical. They require so little power that the batteries will last up to 12 months or more. A conventional motion sensor would have consumed the energy after just 2 weeks.
Why is the box not working?
The front of the box must not be covered. In addition, the motion sensor does not react in the dark, although you can also “make” the box chirp in the evening by switching on the light. If you are sure that the batteries are fresh and recharged, the try to change the location.
What does it mean when the LED is red or blue?
The LED shows the energy level of your box. A red LED means you have to change or recharge the battery. A blue LED means that it is ready to be used.

Relaxound soundboxes are manufactured under the highest quality standards. We will exchange a faulty device immediately. The only exceptions are cases in which you have used the soundbox improperly, for example, if it has been exposed to heavy rain or falls down.
MAYU Swirl Questions
What is the warranty for a MAYU Swirl?
The MAYU Swirl is covered by a 2 year manufacturer warranty. This covers any issues or defects that were caused by the manufacturing process.
Does the warranty cover breaking the carafe?
Accidents happen, but unfortunately breaking the carafe isn’t covered under the warranty offered. The carafe can be purchased on it’s own. Please contact us to enquire about replacing a broken carafe.
Why is my new Swirl not creating a vortex?
If your brand-new MAYU Swirl isn’t creating that enchanting vortex, don’t fret! You’re now the proud owner of our latest version, which features an updated carafe design. Inside, you’ll discover a small white disc – our impeller, packed carefully in tissue paper and placed atop the pour spout. It’s a breeze to unleash the magic: unwrap the tissue paper, remove the pour spout, gently slide the impeller into the water within your carafe, put the spout back on top, and voila! Let the Swirling commence, delivering its mesmerizing performance just as you imagined.
How do I clean the carafe?
Maintaining the Carafe and impeller properly involves cleaning daily (or at least every other day) with dish soap to prevent anything from accumulating on the impeller (the white disc inside the carafe). Especially if you use tap water or mineral water or add anything to your water while you Swirl it (Minerals, fruit, or anything else). If you Swirl wine or juice, you will want to clean it after each use.
The carafe is waterproof and dishwasher safe. If you see remnants of scale after regular hand/dishwasher use, don’t fret! Add one teaspoon of Citric Acid to the carafe and fill it with warm water. Place the carafe on your MAYU Swirl base and let it spin until you see no trace of scale on the carafe walls. Empty the carafe and wash it.
We do not recommend putting the impeller in the dishwasher. Please wash it by hand instead. To clean the impeller from stains, add one cup of water and one spoonful of bleach (or non-chlorine bleach). Let it rest during the night, then flush away the bleach and wash well with water and soap.
Why does my base look different than in the picture?
It’s the beauty of uniqueness! Each MAYU Swirl base is meticulously crafted by hand, making it as distinct as a snowflake. This individuality ensures that no two bases are identical, offering you a one-of-a-kind piece that adds a touch of exclusive charm to your Swirl experience.
